Work Location: Fort Worth, TX
Job Title: Safety Risk Assessment-Toxicology
Duration: 12+ months (extendable) contract on W2
Duties:
Writing toxicological risk assessments for agency submissions and/or address agency questions regarding the raw materials, contact materials as part of the manufacturing process, and extractable/leachable chemicals profiles.
Skills:
a. Experience in using several types of toxicological risk assessment tools including Derek Analysis, ToxPlanet and ToxTree applications. b. Well-versed in experience with knowing how to data mine the various agency databases (FDA, EPA, EU, REACH, ELSIE, etc.) for preparing written risk assessments for chemicals and then applying the information to meaningful human exposure scenarios (i.e., potential systemic outcomes and/or local irritation outcomes dependent upon chemical(s) exposure). c. Relevant experience for how to apply "read-across" toxicological data for chemicals that have no direct toxicity exposure data.
Education:
Toxicologist with at least 5 years in specific industry experience preparing written toxicological risk assessments in accordance with the ISO 10993-17 and 10993-18 standards, as well as to the specific ISO/TS 21726 standard for applying the toxicological threshold of concern (TTC).
