Job Title: Scientist III (Senior)
Duration: 11+ months (extendable) contract on W2
Duties:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our highly innovative and multidisciplinary cell line development team to support biologics drug development. The primary responsibility for this position will be to perform routine flow cytometry assays, cell sorting, and high-throughput screening. The candidate is expected to work independently to execute experiments, process large data sets, and basic data analysis. Other responsibilities include efficient communication of results and proposing next steps to team members. • Maintain, calibrate and operate flow cytometry analytical equipment and instruments • Execute standard operating procedures, analytical test methods and analytical sampling plans in support of lead candidate selection, process development, product release and stability, and product characterization • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description • Ability to think critically and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving skills • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills • Excellent skill in Microsoft word, Excel and data analysis • Some work will be done offsite, however expectation is that majority of work will be done onsite in Kenilworth location • 1 year engagement with great potential for extension • Standard/core work hours • The team consists of 22 team members and is very fast paced and collaborative.
Qualifications:
• PhD in Immunology or related Biological Sciences with at least 1 year of multi-color **flow cytometry (key) experience in industry; or MS in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related Biological Sciences with at least 2 years of multi-color **flow cytometry (key) assays and **mammalian cell culture (key) experience in industry • Strong technical background in high complexity, multi-color flow cytometry assays • Meticulous attention to detail, proficient reasoning and problem-solving skills in experimental data analysis and interpretation. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality. • Strong technical background in writing essential development study documents, including study protocols, experimental records and study reports Top REQUIRED Skill set is Strong technical background in high complexity, multi-color flow cytometry assays. Blood cell isolution, Cell culture experience HIGHLY preferred.
