The Technical Pilot Plant (TPP) Downstream Purification team is responsible for intermediate-scale purification of therapeutic proteins. The group supports early through late stage development projects, enables robust technology transfer to Drug Substance Manufacturing Biologics (DSMB) and evaluates new purification technologies. 

Responsibilities: 

• Operate complex systems and equipment under minimal supervision in accordance with SOP's and safety guidelines. 

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in operating area. 

• Perform support operations for more senior personnel. 

• Execute batch records with accuracy and precision. 

• Prepare sterile line and single use assemblies. 

• Maintain adequate levels of supplies and consumables. 

• Perform routine safety inspections of equipment and lab areas. 

• Work under moderate supervision with regular review of results and methods used. Follows established procedures to perform assignment. 

• Contributes to continual improvement of manufacturing documentation (SOPs, MBRs, OJTs) to ensure they are current, accurate, and clear.

Qualifications: 

Basic Qualifications: 

• This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree with 0 – 2 years of relevant experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing fields or an Associate Degree with 2 years. 

• Ability to follow records, document activities, organize time and set priorities. 

• Work within a team setting and be a self-starter.

• Lift up to 30 pounds. 

• Stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours. 

• Work flexible hours if required. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Understanding of the scientific principles underlying purification technologies and operations.

Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
