Job Title: Research Associate III


Duration:  10+ months (extendable) contract on W2


Duties:


The research associate III contractor position supports research and development programs through method development and validation of novel cell-based assays and ligand binding assay to support pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamics, and exploratory biomarker studies. Design and execute cell-based in vitro assays, with follow-up analysis including immunocytochemistry, western blotting, in cell western analysis (Licor Odyssey), qPCR, flow cytometry.


Skills:



Experience with common mammalian cell culture practices, including passaging, cryopreservation, DNA/RNA/siRNA transfections. Experience in method development and validation of ligand binding assays (g. ELISAs, MSD, Luminex). Expertise in multiple sample matrices, including cell and tissue lysate, serum/plasma, and urine. Data analysis and communication of experimental results, as well as documentation in electronic lab notebook systems.
Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture and protein-based analysis techniques, including western blotting, in cell western, ELISA, etc. Experience in bioanalytical/biomarker method development, optimization, and assay troubleshooting. Highly organized and capable of handling multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as technical writing and lab notebook entry. Experience with immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence microscopy, and Flow cytometry are a plus. Weekly general direction from the supervisor; able to execute routine work independently. Able to present and discuss experimental results on excel or PPT formats.



Education:



MS with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant biological science field or BS degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting.
